PRAISE the Lord!!

Pastor Jeremiah

A Matter Of The Heart

Heart:   1. the whole personality including emotional functions or traits.

             2. the emotional or moral as distinguished from the intellectual nature.

Man can renew his mind according to Romans

12:1 but only God can give you a new heart.

(Ezekiel 36:26 and Jeremiah 24:7)

I can speak to your mind but only God can

speak to your heart.

(To think is not to know.  To know is not to

think.  You think in your mind but you know in

your heart.) I think God loves me.  I know God

loves me. (To think is doubt but to know is

faith.)

Our first impression of others is a reaction of

the mind and not a response of the heart.

Thoughts are perceived in the mind but action

is conceived in the heart.

None of us are there yet.  We must keep

pressing on. Philippians 3:14 - I press toward the

mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ

Jesus.

Two doors

The first one you can open or keep it closed.  The second door you can only walk through.

Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The first door is your heart.  You have to let God in and that is fellowship.

Revelation 3:8 - I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and noman can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

The second door is God’s heart.  Walk through this door and that is communion.

Has anyone told you

I love you

Today?

I love you

And

Jesus loves you!

Prayer Ministry

The one thing that holds this ministry and our work together is our prayer ministry headed up by Karen Page and the prayer team known as the Twelve Disciples.   Did you know that we hold a noon prayer meeting every Wednesday at the location of the weekly Thursday meeting?  Did you know that our prayer register has over 300 requests to date?  Each of the names is called out to the Lord everyday not just on Wednesday.  It is a humbling thing to call out 300 names to the Lord knowing that you need as much prayer as any of these names.  Many people will be touched by the Lord through Hands Up Ministry who otherwise might never attend church.

   MISSIONS AT WORK

INVESTMENT FOR AN ETERNITY
By
Tom Meadows

There has been a change on the timing of this trip.  Due to lack of financial response the trip has been cancelled until we can find another host church.

Many things have happened in recent days and weeks that has caused the Mission Project that we had planned to be canceled.  I want you to know that five of the fifteen HUM members responded to the call of God to give the $500.  I still believe there is ten that heard and did not obey but that is between them and God.  I am disappointed that both the Church and HUM did not really get behind the need. Finances played the major role for the cancellation.  The plan now is to look toward the spring of 2009 and you know I am not getting any younger.

Hands Up Ministry is the Lord's ministry and I pray that He will revive those who have become less enthusiastic about representing Him and serving Him at Philip Morris.  I also pray for His overshadowing anointing on those who still choose to carry the Banner Of Christ at PM even if there is only one or two at a meeting.  Every opportunity that the Lord gives us is a blessing.  Don't throw away your blessings.

Since we have started  a new year in 2008, the Lord has said  "Suffering In 2008 - God Has A Purpose".  Once again I will repeat the quote on our main website page.  "If you cannot walk in His sufferings, the how can you walk in His Glory?"

The next church will  be our third church that we have been blessed to build on the mission field.  Is God great?   How great is your God.  Pray for our churches there:

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER'S HOUSE.
Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd.
Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.
There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water.
When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight.
You are on the King's Highway - Heaven-bound.
Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son, and One for the Holy Ghost.
Then exit off onto Grace Blvd.
From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane.
Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road.
As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave.
Also, avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END.
Pass up Envy Drive, and Hate Avenue.
Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd. However, you have to go down Long-suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd. And Trials and Tribulations Ave.
But that's all right, because VICTORY Street is straight ahead!
AMEN!!!!!
SEND THESE DIRECTIONS TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY SO THEY WILL NOT GET LOST.
Life is God's gift to you.
The way you live it...........is your gift to God.

Noah's Ark   Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark. ...

ONE: Don't miss the boat.
TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat!
THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
FOUR: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
FIVE: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
SIX: Build your future on high ground.
SEVEN: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
EIGHT: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
NINE: When you're stressed, float awhile.
TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting

Hands Up Ministry

Christmas at Gilpin Court in April

By

Pastor Jeremiah

We would hope that we as a ministry can meet the needs of deserving yet unfortunate children in Gilpin Court.  We got a late start in 2007 and since HUM did it without corporate or political help, we need to start now asking the Lord, “What do you want me to do in 2008”.

There were several HUMMERS who sacrificed in 2007 and I pray that the Lord has blessed you in 2008. Nothing that is done in the name of Jesus is free but it is priceless.

God Bless you and thank you to all who will contribute to the success of this mission.

What will you give Jesus for His birthday in

 2008?

Why Missions

The command is to go.  You will never go until you believe that God has broken through your mind and captured your heart.  You see Jesus didn’t “have to” go to Calvary but He wanted to please God.  You don’t “have to” but it would be pleasing to God if you “wanted to” go.  “Have to” is a job but “want to” is a joy.

The Great Commission

Matthew 28

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Reason of the Commission

Romans 10

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things.

The Power of the Commission

Acts 1

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

(Why Missions continued)

The Season of the Commission

Haggai 1

2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built. 3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste? 5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

The Challenge of the Commission

Isaiah 6

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. 9 And he said, Go

The Glory of the Commission

Matthew 25

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The Cross Makes The Difference

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,

there will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;

But God's always ready, to answer your call....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,

a word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,

But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,

to give you His grace, and send you His love.

(The Cross Makes The Difference continued)

Awesome!! We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot.
