"Singing In 2011 - God Has A Praise"

The Perfect Gift

What is the perfect gift?  That depends on who is giving and who is receiving.

God's greatest gift to man was His son.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus greatest gift to man was His life.

John 10:11 - I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Mark 10:45 - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

1 John 3:16 - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down his life for us

Your Greatest Gift to God is YOU.

Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:15 - Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

God's Gift to You at Christmas 2010 is Himself.

Luke 11:13 - If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Prayer Ministry

The one thing that holds this ministry and our work together is our prayer ministry headed up by Karen Page and the prayer team known as the Twelve Disciples.  Did you know that our prayer register has over 300 requests to date?  Each of the names is called out to the Lord everyday not just on Wednesday.  It is a humbling thing to call out 300 names to the Lord knowing that you need as much prayer as any of these names.  Many people will be touched by the Lord through Hands Up Ministry who otherwise might never attend church.

 MISSIONS AT WORK

INVESTMENT FOR AN ETERNITY
By
Tom Meadows

The latest news on La Resolana is the church completion is a matter of cosmetics.  The outside of the church still needs stuccoing and funds ran out due to inflation and the exchange rate of the Peso.  I am working with the Missionary in hopes of seeing it's full completion soon. The most current news is the mother church (Bella Vista) and La Resolana are trying to finish the work on their own finances.

HANDS UP MINISTRY CHRISTMAS

What did you give Jesus for His birthday in 2010?

"Thank you" to all who donated time, gifts, money, etc. in preparation for Hand Up Ministry's  CHRISTmas celebration on December 20, 2010.

Jesus said when you have done it unto the least of these you have done it unto me.

We hope you will start now thinking how we can minister to twelve families in 2011.

Hands Up Ministry held our annual HUM Christmas at Gilpin Court ministering to eleven deserving families that are working hard to better themselves.   In addition to this effort, several HUM members will be going to Brunswick County on Tuesday, December 21 to minister to the needy children in that area.  As part of our ministry to Gilpin Court residents, they were asked to bring food staples and used toys to help out in Brunswick.    We want to thank each and every person that prayed, donated, coordinated and delivered the Christmas presents.    We pray that God will bless each person.  You can view some pictures of our event by clicking on the link at the top of the page.

Merry Christmas to our HUM family and all our fellow employees at Philip Morris and Altria.

"Put Christ first and you will never be last."

Merry Christmas with Christ

Twas the month before
Christmas*

*When all through
our land,*

*Not a Christian
was praying*

*Nor taking a
stand..*

*See the PC Police
had taken away,*

*The reason for
Christmas - no one could say.*

*The children were
told by their schools not to sing,*

*About Shepherds
and Wise Men and Angels and things.*

*It might hurt
people's feelings, the teachers would say*

* December 25th is
just a ' Holiday '.*

*Yet the shoppers
were ready with cash, checks and credit*

*Pushing folks
down to the floor just to get it!*

*CDs from Madonna,
an X BOX, an I-pod*

*Something was
changing, something quite odd! *

*Retailers
promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*

*In hopes to sell
books by Franken & Fonda.*

*As Targets were
hanging their trees upside down*

* At Lowe's the
word Christmas - was no where to be found.*

*At K-Mart and
Staples and Penny's and Sears*

*You won't hear
the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive,
sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*

*Are words that
were used to intimidate me.*

*Now Daschle, Now
Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*

*On Boxer, on

*At the top of the
Senate, there arose such a clatter*

*To eliminate
Jesus, in all public matter.*

*And we spoke not
a word, as they took away our faith*

* Forbidden to
speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of
Christmas was exchanged and discarded*

*The reason for the season, stopped before
it started.*

*So as you

Please, all
Christians join together and

wish everyone you

Hi Tech Saints

I'm amazed at how electronic technology has advanced over time. Devices that
could not be contained in a room years ago, now fit easily in the palm of your hand.
Items like cassette players, VCR's, and picture tubes are rapidly becoming things of
the past.

Sometimes, however, even the most sophisticated equipment will break down. Even
worse, we don't have a clue as to how to fix it. Technicians have found that nearly 90% of all electronic repairs involve RESTORING POWER, and or MAKING GOOD CONNECTIONS TO THE MAIN BOARD.

Strangely enough, it's very similar with us as believers in Christ. No matter how sophisticated
we think we are, we break down from time to time (most of us, anyway). And, in most cases,
it's because of a POWER problem, or A BAD CONNECTION with someone.

The more we are "away" from God's Word, it's easier for us to have POWER PROBLEMS, and
eventually, our CONNECTIONS, with HIM and EACH OTHER, will get weak.

HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS, right now! Thank Him for His Grace. Share a kind word and
CONNECT with someone today. This will help fix your power problems, and once again,
YOUR LITTLE LIGHT WILL BE SHINING, BRIGHTLY!

VICTORY IS OUR'S, SAINTS!

Holy HUMor

Sunday Morning.

One Sunday morning, a mother went in to wake her son and tell him it was time to get ready for church, to which he replied, "I'm not going."
       "Why not?" she asked.
I'll give you two good reasons," he said.

(1), they don't like me, and

               (2), I don't like them."
His mother replied, "I'll give YOU two good reasons why YOU SHOULD go to church.
                 (1) You're 59 years old, and

              (2) you're the pastor!"

The Picnic
A Jewish Rabbi and a Catholic Priest met at the town's annual 4th of July picnic. Old friends, they began their usual banter.
"This baked ham is really delicious," the priest teased the rabbi. "You really ought to try it. I know it's against your religion, but I can't understand why such a wonderful food should be forbidden! You don't know what you're missing. You just haven't lived until you've tried Mrs. Hall's prized Virginia Baked Ham. Tell me, Rabbi, when are you going to break down and try it?"
The rabbi looked at the priest with a big grin, and said, "At your wedding."

The Usher
An elderly woman walked into the local country church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps,  "Where would you like to sit?" he asked politely.
"The front row please," she answered.
"You really don't want to do that," the usher said "The pastor is really boring."
"Do you happen to know who I am?" the woman inquired. "No." he said. "I'm the pastor's mother," she replied indignantly.
"Do you know who I am?" he asked. "No." she said. "Good," he answered.

"The Us in Jesus"

The U in Jesus is often used but I want to focus for a few minutes on the US in Jesus.

The task before US is not as great as the force in US.

Luke 2

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (That’s US)

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  (That’s US)

By being in Jesus we shall share the benefits of being...............................

Prosperous

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

2 Chronicles 26:5 As long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

Psalm 3:1 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Joyous

Psalm 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Psalm 16:11 In thy presence is fullness of joy.

Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the LORD is your strength.

Victorious

1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 Corinthians 15:54   So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:57   But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nothing can harm US in the presence of the Lord.

Stay there.
